Jackets for all seasons

Classic green jacket belted with black trousers

Jackets for all seasons. I have built up quite a few jackets over the years. They are great workhorses in my wardrobe. You can wear them all year round. In the Spring teamed with trousers and a lightweight sweater. In the Summer over a summer dress. For Autumn add a thick sweater and a scarf. During the Winter wear your jacket under a coat or puffer jacket to keep you very warm and cosy.

I have built up quite a collection of jackets over the years although recently I have had to sell some of my older ones as they were too big for me. Vinted is a good site for selling your pre-loved clothes. I found it an excellent site to sell any unwanted items. It is also good if you are interested in purchasing second-hand.

I have styled my jacket in a couple of different ways in the photos above. In the first image where I am wearing a belt which helps to give the jacket some shape. The second two are a bit more casual. I have teamed my casual pistachio green jacket with a pair of black trousers, a black polo neck sweater from Uniqlo and my wide-leg trousers from MarksandSpencer.

I like the necklace you are wearing with your jacket. Any clue as to where it was purchased? I think jackets/blazers are the epitome of being “chic” and love wearing them although not many professionals (especially in the education field) are dressing well….imo. I guess I have the tendency to dress more professionally than those with whom I work.

I like a jacket too Josephine. Great to see you featured in Platinum magazine and sharing advice with us in our 70s.
