Prints especially floral prints are very much in the news at the moment. I don’t think I will be trying out floral print trousers any time soon however a delicate print dress can add a touch of verve to a summer wardrobe. That is if there is going to be a summer this year! It must start soon or we will have to start building arks here in London.
Continuing with my love of blue I thought I would play around with some ideas of how to adapt a blue print dress for a variety of occasions. I have chosen to work with a lovely wrap dress by Diana von Furstenberg. I do have a slightly similar one in my wardrobe that I bought a few years ago. Mine has a mixture of greens with a touch of black in the print and I do actually find it extremely versatile and flattering. It can be worn with flats or heels, a denim jacket or dressed up with jewellery and even a hat. Are you a fan of prints and if so how do you wear yours?

I tend to wear solid colors but am trying to step out of my comfort zone and this dress would be perfect! I could easily wear it to work, but I could change shoes and make it more casual for brunch with girlfriends.
I love the Kate Spade straw bag with a touch of royal blue!
I think almost anyone can wear DVF dresses. I have several in different styles that I feel comfortable in. I also seem to have several Catherine Malandrino dresses, including a floral print one I wore yesterday, Mother's Day, to the theater and dinner. You wouldn't think her dresses would be that flattering on any figure but it must be the gathers she incorporates into them that make it work. I have an older pair of JCrew floral pants that I'm going to find and five a try. However, as you say they may cross the line!!
Love the DVF dress - I'd wear it with a denim jacket.
Mmm, prints. I am so conflicted. Prefer non-repeating ones, or Indian woodblocks like those from Anokhi. It's hard to find a really great print, and I tire of them sooner than solids. This would look good with orange pumps or sandals.
I love a well cut DVF, they are the only dresses that really need to be filled, they don't work so well on the skinny minxes who look wonderful in just about everything else. You really need boobs and a butt to rock DVF.
I avoid prints, but the way you have mixed a print dress with a solid sweater/coat tones it down enough that I'm tempted. I think solids are so much more chic and versatile (and perhaps boring?) Still......prints could be a possibility for me this season.
I like your fab ideas for the print dress....I cant wait for summer!
