Capsule Travel wardrobe

Capsule travel wardrobe for trip to France

On Friday we are off to Marseille for diner and an overnight stay on our way to the South of France. We are planning to explore the city. I have never been to Marseille so am looking forward to visiting the museum and other interesting sites.

What to wear to travel on the Eurostar and what to pack in my overnight bag?

I have put together a capsule travel wardrobe based on navy, grey with touches of serenity blue. Plus my fabulous new “Grosvenor” equestrian inspired shoulder bag by Radley.  The Grosvenor is a combination of leather and nylon, which makes it super lightweight and ideal for travelling.  It has a main compartment with zip and slip pockets. There is also a pocket at the back that secures with a popper to keep your essentials safe and secure.

Radley has a sale on at the moment and the Grosvenor is currently reduced from £179.00 to £89.50.

I would describe Radley bags as practical and classic with a twist. Many of their designs feature a very British Scottie dog as an iconic mascot. (They do ship internationally).

I write a fashion and beauty blog for women over 50 with the aim of inspiring mature women to continue to enjoy and have fun with their fashion choices. I have spent most of my working life in some way connected to fashion. I started my career in Fashion PR and then trained as an Image Consultant when my children were young. I subsequently worked in the corporate world running seminars, doing private coaching and speaking at conferences. I started my blog in 2009 as I wanted to share my years of experience working in the world of fashion. I truly believe we can continue to have confidence in the way we present ourselves. Our style may evolve with time and changing lifestyles, yet with a little knowledge and inspiration, we can all continue to have fun with fashion. As women of a certain age we are a growing demographic let us prove that we can also be a chic one.

  • I love your travelling wardrobe for Marseille. The colours and styling are lovely. I might go for the Radley bag. We recently planned an overnight stop in Marseille but our visit coincided with a bike race so many roads around the port were closed and there were major roadworks so be prepared for a very congested city centre. I am sure you have already booked somewhere lovely to stay but We decided that it might be better to stay near one of the tram or metro stops rather than drive into the city. Bonne Route!
