Christmas

Christmas gift ideas for men

Christmas gift ideas for men. I don’t know about you but I find shopping for men at Christmas quite challenging. They either seem to have everything they want or they go out and buy what they need for themselves. So I have been on the hunt for some unusual gifts as well as the tried and tested gloves, slippers, scarves etc.

Details of above:

Recycled down jacket Uniqlo || Stripe tee Arket (also available in plain colours) || Reflex active series smart watch MarksandSpencer ||  Air Sport True Wireless Bluetooth In-Ear Headphones with Mic/Remote JohnLewis&Partners || Nespresso Vertuo Next Coffee Machine by KRUPS JohnLewis&Partners || Cashmere lined leather gloves MarksandSpencer || iPhone & apple accessories stand Not on the high street || Personalised washbag Not on the high street || Lightweight slippers FitFlop.

I have chosen the padded down jacket from Uniqlo because I find that they are the most practical and hardwearing ones on the market. I bought my husband one about five years ago and it is still going strong. The stripe tee is from Arket. We were wandering around Covent Garden the weekend before last and as we had some time to spare between lunch and going to the opera we visited a few shops on Floral street. My husband is always looking for good-quality tee shirts. He was very impressed with the quality of the ones in Arket. They are 100% cotton, have a good squarish shape and are nice and thick. They are available in a variety of plain colours as well as the striped one featured above.

A selection of techy gifts:

On the subject of techy gifts, the smart watch does lots of wizzy things and is reasonably priced. Bluetooth earphones are normally well received. For coffee lovers a machine to make a quick cuppa. Cashmere-lined gloves at a good price point for the quality. I love the iPhone accessory stand, I would quite like one myself.

Not on the high street have some excellent gift ideas. They are well-categorised so easy to get inspired.

I write a fashion and beauty blog for women over 50 with the aim of inspiring mature women to continue to enjoy and have fun with their fashion choices. I have spent most of my working life in some way connected to fashion. I started my career in Fashion PR and then trained as an Image Consultant when my children were young. I subsequently worked in the corporate world running seminars, doing private coaching and speaking at conferences. I started my blog in 2009 as I wanted to share my years of experience working in the world of fashion. I truly believe we can continue to have confidence in the way we present ourselves. Our style may evolve with time and changing lifestyles, yet with a little knowledge and inspiration, we can all continue to have fun with fashion. As women of a certain age we are a growing demographic let us prove that we can also be a chic one.
