Do women over 50 follow fashion trends?
Let us continue our conversation about whether women over 50 follow fashion trends and if so which ones might we consider adaptable and suitable from the many on offer this S/S 2016.
The lingerie trend was given prominence on the S/S 2016 catwalk shows. Silky slip dresses with delicate lace trimmings. Not an easy trend to wear unless you are in your 20s. So the question is how can we give a nod to this pretty feminine look. The answer is in moderation.
I have long been a fan of wearing a lacy silk camisole under a tailored jacket, preferably a tuxedo. It adds a touch of flattering colour near the face and can be worn at any age.
The Outnet have some great ones. My jacket is by Theory similar available also at The Outnet. Straight let Jeans by NYDJ available Nordstrom and John Lewis

Sorry but I don't get this trend : it still feels like I have forgotten my shirt!
I like the look of a pretty camisole under a jacket on others, but don't believe it looks as nice when a larger bust is involved.
I agree with Marianne. What would be nice is that someone make a beautiful camisole that is a little higher in the front, for those of us that would rather leave our cleavage a mystery and that have beautiful fuller lace straps so that we can wear our bra underneath. I would buy something like that in every color!!
I am wearing a bra under mine and not really showing any cleavage.
Sorry, but I won't be wearing my underwear outer.
This look is fantastic, will be making a wider strap lace camisole very soon
It's such a pretty look under a jacket! I'm still looking for one with straps wide enough to accommodate my bra straps.
I was wearing this style in the 80's! I loved it then and still do.
I'm wanting a slip dress but probably without the pretty lace. That might be too much of a lingerie look for me.
