Can we ever get enough of denim. It is one of the most hard wearing and hard working fabrics in our wardrobes. It seems that this season denim is even more in fashion than usual.
Not only is it plentifully available in the form of jeans from skinny to boyfriend, to flared and bootcut but we are being encouraged to wear it from head to toe. Denim dresses in the office, jeans teamed with jackets for more formal occasions and the ultimate “double denim”. A denim shirt teamed with jeans.
I thought that I would give it a try so here I am in a mid toned denim shirt worn with dark denim kick flare jeans. I feel it is wise to team a lighter denim top with a darker pair of jeans. It gives a better balance in my opinion than two denim items in similar tones.
What do you think. Would you or wouldn’t you wear this trend?

You look lovely. I have worn it in the past and probably would again.
You look fabulous, and the bag is such a pretty color too. Yes, I'd double up. I also follow that "rule" of mixing denims, though many of the magazines and websites say it's OK to match now.
Denim is always cool, you look fab and yes very chic.
I'm with you on mixing denims. I'd never wear two similar denims, despite what's said in the press. Looks great on you.
I often wear double denim, but NEVER matching pieces.
I'm sure I once read that women shouldn't wear jeans after a certain age, but I'm still wearing mine at the age of 67 and have no intention of giving them up! I've not worn double denim, but you look so chic in your outfit that I'm going to look for a denim shirt too. Definitely not matching though.
Yes, I would wear; especially with the dark and light contrast. And then the white shirt underneath is a nice addition too. Looks great!
You look great in this outfit! The very dark jeans stop it from looking too double-denim. I think if you wear the same shade top and bottom, it has to match EXACTLY, like co-ordinates, otherwise it looks awful...
Rules are made to be broken - not so long ago denim on denim was verboten, but now it's the "in" thing. I love the combo you have chosen (and the bag)!
You look great and I adore that bag! Double denim yes. I usually contrast not only the tone but the weight to give it more interst. White denim with blue is a favorite of mine.
Have a great week.
