How I wear my blue shirt. Blue shirts always look fresh. They are a softer option than white and suits most colourings. They can be associated with either work wear or “corporate uniform”.
On the other side of the spectrum they are often worn with casual wear especially teamed with jeans.
I consider blue shirts to be extremely versatile. They can be both formal or casual depending on the wearer and the situation. I have chosen a modern version of the blue shirt from Marks&Spencer. (unfortunately out of stock similar). It shows the new bell sleeve trend. Personally I think the sleeve detail adds an “on trend” element.

If you are opting for this style make sure the sleeves do not fall further than the wrist. If they do you risk dangling them in your soup! On my Marks&Spencer top the sleeves end at wrist level which I find perfectly wearable. I know some of my readers find this style impractical. I have selected some more classic versions below.

Great color and I like the fun sleeves!
Love this outfit and beautiful color on you
You cannot beat a blue shirt and this one is a winner on you.
Love the colour but hate the sleeves!
Love the colour design etc on you but I could never handle the hassle of those sleeves!
I know the sleeves are not to everybody's taste but I have tested them while looking after my grandson and they were ok. However I will probably take the top with me to france at end of April.
I rather like the emergence of flamboyant sleeves, certainly a lot more than wide half mast trousers which transform my rear view into the back end of a bus. I got one of the jigsaw Georgia O'Keefe shirts last season which goes in this direction but is a three quarter length sleeve so less vulnerable to food incidents!
Hi Maureen
I agree 3/4 length fluted sleeves are a great idea. More practical. I have my eye on a very nice cream one by Jaeger.
A lovely put together capsule wardrobe, it makes life so simple, and what a blessing for comfortable footwear! Who would have thought a few years ago, we'd be wearing trendy footwear that was comfortable!
