The sun was shining last Sunday so we grabbed the opportunity to get out of London. Mr P is a keen fly fisherman, so we went exploring a new river he is contemplating taking a rod on for the coming season.
What to wear to keep warm and cosy and still look chic enough for lunch at the local pub.
I chose my Gerard Darel blue puffa coat I bought a couple of years ago, teamed with winserlondon leggings, cream sweater and knee high boots. I felt the touch of red lifted the outfit as well as my spirits.
If you are still in the market for a puffa coat Uniqlo have some greatly reduced here

John Lewis have a good selection of quilted coats and jackets here
Nordstrom also have some good ones here
My boots are by Duoboots. They are the only ones that work for me because I have small feet to calf ratio and Duoboots offer differing calf measurements. (virtually made to measure)

PS. The clarins lip oil I featured on Monday Musings seems to be very popular and is sold out at Dillons. I have found some stock left at Lord & Taylor amber here and pink here.

You look fabulous, Josephine, and the photos are gorgeous.
Well , you look charming. Love the hat with the outfit. Just tops it off. Sorry, I couldn't resist that. :-)
You know it's all in the details. The scarf isn't just a red scarf, it's a very LONG red scarf. It's all in the details.
Thank you Sandra. A compliment from an artist.
Highly recommend the Uniqlo ultra light jacket, 3/4 length. Warm but not bulky. Thanks for bringing classic style into the woods.
I agree Chris they are great. Although you have to be a little careful when washing them. The tumble dryer if too hot and strong can make the down go into little hard balls.
A walk in the country sounds so nice and you look perfect for the enjoyment. I also need to take time to keep up with technology...difficult in this ever changing world. Enjoy your walks!
You look radiant in this composition! Perfect for a walk in the country. Your red beret and scarf are playful and functional at the same time.
I agree. Keeping up with technology is a challenge, but I think it's good for the brain!
Tell us about your jaunty beret!
Hi Leslie
My beret is a very old Kangol, There is a good site in the UK
Not sure if they ship to the US. Otherwise I found some, if you scroll on the images at the bottom of the post they should show.
I love your outfit, you look great, but I don't think I'd want to ruin nice leather boots on a "country" walk in the winter! I wear Hunter wellies or walking boots for walking here.
Hi Jane
I agree with you. I did wear wellies for the morning walk in the wet fields however I changed into my boots for the pub lunch and then when we took the photos the path was reasonably dry. The boots did get a bit of mud on the toes but it dried and brushed off easily. I always us a protector spray on all my shoes and boots.
When I saw this post in mid-February, I immediately thought Hat Attack. Thank you for sharing your beauty and your beret for the March edition!
