I seem to be wearing my jeans on a regular basis at the moment. As I am busy clearing out our house in preparation for moving they are proving extremely practical. The ones I am wearing are from Hush. They don’t seem to be offering exactly the same style this year so I have done some research and found similar as shown below. I am finding them more comfortable than my usual straight styles. Today I want to show you how easy it is to dress up a pair of jeans with a classic jacket.
If you are a regular reader of this blog you will almost certainly be aware that pink is my favourite colour! I wear it both summer and winter. The jacket I am wearing above is a few years old from Arket. This seasons version which I think I prefer as it is a lovely bubble gum pink. Arket have good sustainability standards. This jacket is made from RWS certified wool. If you have warmer colouring there are plenty of rust and brown jackets available this season.
The cream pie crust blouse I am wearing under my pink jacket caused quite a few comments. I was wearing it under my navy cashmere cardigan in a previous post. Mine is originally from Mango a couple of years ago. I have done some research and below are a few that are similar.

I always think you look lovely in pink. I also enjoyed the photos of your beautiful home. I was surprised to read that you are moving. Are you staying in London or moving full time to France?
Hello Linda
No we wont be going to live in France full time we are just hoping to go a little further out of London.
I had the same question! I would move to France in a heartbeat! In 2014, we sold our home after 39 years, and have downsized to an apartment. It is so liberating! Good luck on your next move, Josephine!
I would have bought your house Josephine!
About jeans though....... I recently bought a pair of cropped 501s from the Levi Store and the man pulled out a frayed hem pair. I said oh no, I want a finished seam those are too young for me. The little toe rag agreed. I still bought the stitched hem but my question is;
Am I too old for a frayed pair of 501s.? Note they are not distressed in the legs at all.
Be interested to hear what you think!
Hello Pru
You are never too old for anything. It depends on your style preferences and body shape. Frayed hem jeans are quite "boho". I do have a pair of wide jeans with a very small fringe. Depending on the length you could always turn up the hem or trim the frays.
Some lovely ideas Josephine, thank you. I can see you are on Richmond Terrace in the photos - an old haunt of mine - so the view over the Thames has brought back happy memories. Good luck with the move are you staying locally?
Hello Linda
Hopefully not too far away. A little way out of the centre maybe Thames Ditton or Claygate.
classic jackets always look good on me, great for formal and informal dressing. I adore the emerald one by Hobbs
I rarely spend a day without my jeans, a great combination, Best wishes for your house move.
Another winning outfit. Pretty, feminine and fun. That pink is a beautiful color and just super on you. Love your hair - looks like you just got a trim. P.S. That blouse is heavenly.
