Many of us have a denim jacket in our wardrobe. It is such a useful pop over anything item. It can be worn with jeans and a tee-shirt or slung over a summer dress. Personally, I like the long line versions as it covers my bum and I therefore find it more flattering. However if you are petite you might find the traditional shorter version suits you better. The denim jacket that I currently own was originally from &OtherStories. This is their version for this year and it is very similar. The one above I have featured is from Great Plains and it is similar in style. In today’s post I have illustrated several ways you can restyle a denim jacket by teaming it with a skirt or dress.
The photo above shows how I styled my denim jacket last year. My longline belted denim jacket was from &OtherStories (this year’s version similar).

Do you own a denim jacket and if so how do you style it?
How to restyle a denim jacket – various options
I’m loving how you styled you long line Jean jacket, Josephine! What are your suggestions for mixing denim with denim (jacket and pants)? I usually wear mine with white jeans or khaki pants because I’m never sure how to wear it with other denims.
This year I added both pink and white denim jackets with pie crust collars to my wardrobe. I saw the pink one styled by Susan on her susanafter60 style blog and fell in love with it. I’ve noticed the Duchess of Cambridge bringing pie crust collars into her wardrobe and was excited to add that style of collar into mine again. I wore them all the time in the 80’s when Princess Diana popularized them. I even saw several pie crust collar blouses in J Crew last week, and I feel like if J Crew carries them then they’re definitely having another moment. I like both jackets but find the white one easier to pair with multiple outfits. The pink one I have only worn with white jeans.
Sending wishes for all things good and wonderful!

I on a dark indigo traditional jean jacket. I find I never ear it! I’m just not a casual girl. I bought to Chanel style jacket in eyelet ith denim trim(one is hite and the other is navy). These I ear!! So me! I only ear skirts so I love earing matching skirts in color but different fabrics of course. Your long-line jean jacket is very nice on you!!
