It has been a long harsh Winter in many ways both mentally and physically. It has certainly taken its toll on my skin. So I thought that I would talk about how to update your beauty routine for the Spring and do a quick round-up of what I am currently using to nurture my skin and get it back to peak condition. Filorga Time-filler has been one of my go-to products since I was introduced to it by Susan of Unefemme on one of our visits to Paris. We used to get up early on a Sunday morning and head for the discount chemist just around the corner from our hotel. I first went there in 2017. The two Filgora products I have featured are both on sale. The Time-filler has a 41% discount and the Filorga time-filler for eyes has a 20% discount. so I stocked up.
I ordered the Smashbox primer and pore minimiser trial set as I noticed that I have some open pores, especially on my nose. This means that unless I use a primer my foundation tends to sink into my skin. Smashbox is a good brand as its primers are designed for professional photography. Good for Zoom or if you take lots of selfies.
Now let’s talk about treating ourselves to some traditional scents. I really find that a quick spritz of Eau de Toilette every morning helps to lift my mood. I love Yardleys traditional scents especially the rose (gifted). Their fragrances bought back memories of my teenage years.

Another couple of new products that I have added to my repertoire.
The serum on the left is from a brand that I have never tried before. I am currently using their Nordic C glow boost essence. After a cold harsh Winter my skin was in need of a boost in the glow department. My hands are also dry after all that washing and hand sanitising so I am trying Kloris’s no-rinse hand sanitiser. It really is the best sanitiser that I have used. It really does not dry the skin, sinks in quickly with no sticky residue. Kloris use CBD oil in their products.
I am currently trialing their Luxury CBD balm. I am rubbing it into my hip joint which is currently very stiff and painful due to osteoarthritis. The CBD oil is apparently absorbed into the skin and is good for pain and inflammation.
If you have any products that you find useful to counteract the harsh winter weather and prepare your skin do leave your recommendations in the comments box.
