I love to spend a Sunday morning browsing round the local Brocante, you never know what you might find. On this occasion a 6 piece coffee set for 15 euros (photo next time). Also had fun wandering round the market in St. Tropez. As far as I could tell there was a distinct absence of bright colours worn by women in the street, in fact the predominant colour seemed to be shades of beige, maybe this was due to the rather grey skies, the sun playing hide and seek behind the clouds. There were however plenty of bright colours in the shop windows with a predominance of blues, reds and oranges.

We are so lucky to have regular entertainment in our village including art exhibitions and concerts. Last week we had a wonderful rendition of Debussy and Chopin held in the 15 century Penitent’s Chapel.

This is what I love about the French - high culture is for everyone. I guess it's the 'Egalete' part of their constitution! So you get these wonderful concerts in sleepy little places and it's considered quite the normal way of life.
May I ask you how much the going price is for the chandeliers? I'm thinking it would work out cheaper and better to wait to buy one in France and have it rewired back in the UK.
Hi Anonymous Not sure about the price of those particular chandeliers. It very much depends on their condition etc. and if the market is busy and if the vendor will do a deal. They can range from about 50 euros to 100 upwards. Next time I go to the Brocante, probably in June I will get more information. Thanks for commenting.
