News and views from St Tropez

Tuesday morning in St.Tropez. Caught the early morning bus into the village to check out the market.  Had very interesting discussion during the journey with the french bus driver on politics, economics and the demise of civilisation as we know it. Almost certainly a Marine Le Pen voter.  My french vocabulary was seriously challenged.

Would not want one even if I could have one. Too high maintenance and I tend to suffer from sea sickness.

The famous cafe on the port. Everyone was huddled inside as there was a chilly wind blowing through the port.

Hats and more hats

Typical St. Tropez cottons and linens.

My favourite shop. I just love the way they co-ordinate the colours

I write a fashion and beauty blog for women over 50 with the aim of inspiring mature women to continue to enjoy and have fun with their fashion choices. I have spent most of my working life in some way connected to fashion. I started my career in Fashion PR and then trained as an Image Consultant when my children were young. I subsequently worked in the corporate world running seminars, doing private coaching and speaking at conferences. I started my blog in 2009 as I wanted to share my years of experience working in the world of fashion. I truly believe we can continue to have confidence in the way we present ourselves. Our style may evolve with time and changing lifestyles, yet with a little knowledge and inspiration, we can all continue to have fun with fashion. As women of a certain age we are a growing demographic let us prove that we can also be a chic one.

  • There's a joke among boat owners that the two happiest days in their life are the day they buy their boat and the day the sell it. ;-) If I could afford the staff to maintain it for me...

Love that blue sweater, what a gorgeous color!

  • Like you I would not have a boat even if I could afford it -- for exactly the same reasons. :) The hats are great but the plants caught my eye and the cottons and linens -- divine.

  • Josephine this looks so lovely - I wish I were there! Hoping you enjoy a wonderful sunny easter!
