Pink is one of this seasons favourite colours

Pink has continued to be one of the most popular colours over the last few seasons. It has lost its “little girl image” and grown up to become a fashionable choice in the boardroom as well as the street. Worn by Christine LaGarde and the Duchess of Cambridge it represents authority with a feminine touch.

I like to buy one investment statement piece per season and this time I have chosen a vibrant tailored jacket by Joseph (I bought it a few months ago and it now only seems to be available in a paler pink option).

Worn more casually with a pair of skater shoes by Sketchers at Nordstrom & John Lewis

A little more dressy with heels and. scarf.

I write a fashion and beauty blog for women over 50 with the aim of inspiring mature women to continue to enjoy and have fun with their fashion choices. I have spent most of my working life in some way connected to fashion. I started my career in Fashion PR and then trained as an Image Consultant when my children were young. I subsequently worked in the corporate world running seminars, doing private coaching and speaking at conferences. I started my blog in 2009 as I wanted to share my years of experience working in the world of fashion. I truly believe we can continue to have confidence in the way we present ourselves. Our style may evolve with time and changing lifestyles, yet with a little knowledge and inspiration, we can all continue to have fun with fashion. As women of a certain age we are a growing demographic let us prove that we can also be a chic one.

  • I love that shade of pink and it looks amazing on you! I am glad pink has got its "legs"; there is a shade for everyone that makes them, well, look like they're in the pink!

  • I love that vibrant fuchsia pink! It's a shade that suits everyone and you look great in it. It's much nicer than pale pastel pink.

  • Oh, you do look chic !
We are in a very rainy late autumn here in New Zealand . I do hope pink is in fashion here in the Spring.
" If Winter come, the old time lyric ran "
Can Spring be far behind ?
You bet it can ! "
I think this is Ogden Nash, but it might be Ezra Pound.

  • Love vibrant tones and this is perfect. A dear friend of mine and a 5 year breast cancer survivor proudly wears a beautiful bright pink boucle jacket...that she found in the Goodwill!!!

  • I am having a bit of a pink moment myself. I think it looks really nice against platinum and silver hair. It's one of those colors that everyone looks good in, even guys!
