Refresh your wardrobe for Spring
It is still quite chilly here in London but at least the sun has begun to shine. I thought it was about time to sort through my wardrobe and to do a bit of planning for the new season. As you will all probably know if you are a regular reader of this blog I am a fan of colour and I particularly like to mix bright colours together. However for a change, I thought I would explore the new neutrals. Today I am featuring beige and cream with apricot highlights.
On Friday I will be back to my usual hunting grounds and will be showing a cooler palette showing navy for the basics. Plus some of the new season’s lilacs, pinks, greens and purples as accent colours. You could also check out the post Capsule Spring wardrobe I wrote in March for inspiration.

Hi Josephine
Thank you for thinking about warm toned colours. I love reading your blog but I have to adapt your ideas for my colouring so a warm tone post is very welcome I have bought the scarf that you feature in the post and want to wish you well with your online shop. It is often hard to get nice scarves in particular
Thanks. Margo
Hi Margo
I will be trying to include more warm colours in my posts going forward as I realise that as my wardrobe is made up of mostly cool colours this can be a bit limiting for some of my readers. Hope you enjoy wearing your scarf.
I have the J Crew cardigan in ivory and it’s warm and lovely. I’m trying to decide whether or not to pack it for a trip to London in mid May, to wear on its own and under a raincoat. It’s bulky but wonderful. I would love to have your opinion on that. Thanks.
Hello Lizette
A very difficult question to answer I was wearing my winter puffer coat last week and yesterday I was doing a photoshoot just wearing a cotton tee. I tried the J Crew cardigan on last week and it is quite thick. It would be useful on the flight as cabins can be chilly. I think you will need a light raincoat to go over the cardigan as you might well get some rain.
Sorry I can’t be more helpful but weather forecasts these days are virtually impossible. I would suggest you check the long term forecast before you travel.
