Stylish and practical Trench coats

Stylish and practical Spring trench coats. What is not to like at this time of year? As I look out of our window to the lovely view of the river it is cold, raining and windy! Although we did get a few sunny days over the Easter weekend. These days I seem to be wearing my fully waterproof rubberised raincoat or my long Cos trench coat.

We are finally off to Grimaud this Wednesday so hopefully I can wear some of my lighter clothes. I will be reporting on the markets in St.Tropez as usual.

I wondered if I needed to add the black MarksandSpencer trench to my wardrobe. You can see me trying it on in the Kingston branch changing rooms below.

I write a fashion and beauty blog for women over 50 with the aim of inspiring mature women to continue to enjoy and have fun with their fashion choices. I have spent most of my working life in some way connected to fashion. I started my career in Fashion PR and then trained as an Image Consultant when my children were young. I subsequently worked in the corporate world running seminars, doing private coaching and speaking at conferences. I started my blog in 2009 as I wanted to share my years of experience working in the world of fashion. I truly believe we can continue to have confidence in the way we present ourselves. Our style may evolve with time and changing lifestyles, yet with a little knowledge and inspiration, we can all continue to have fun with fashion. As women of a certain age we are a growing demographic let us prove that we can also be a chic one.

  • A trench coat is so handy at this time of the year. I don’t suit DB ones as I’m top heavy but found a lovely single breasted one in Joules. Enjoy Grimaud Josephine I always look forward to your posts from the markets.

  • Love the coat and the shoes. Such comfort and always on trend. No wonder you look so happy.
