Summer sales are in full swing at the moment. Some of them started early in the season due to the late start of Summer. it is not too late to grab a few bargains as many of the brands continually add new stock to their selections. Plus quite a few are discounting by as much as 60% at this stage.
I have not had much time this year to peruse the sales as I have been too busy. However the last couple of days I have had a quick look and have added a couple of items to my Summer wardrobe.
My general rules for sale shopping are to buy styles that you know suit your figure and your lifestyle. You can never really go wrong with a classic blazer or neutral pair of trousers. I tend to fill gaps in my wardrobe and replace worn out tee shirts and tops.
Another strategy I employ is to buy forward, either a seasonless item or a style I can wear at the beginning of Autumn.
Alternatively, if you have not yet completed your holiday shopping this might be a good opportunity to add a couple of last-minute pieces such as swimsuits and kaftans.
For my UK readers, John Lewis has started their clearance sale. Always a good hunting ground for bedlinen, pots and pans and electrical goods. I like to take advantage of the discounts and replace worn out household items in their sale.
I do like some of these ,Josephine..
I have quite a few of the above items: well they are classics. Wide trousers, for me, are a no no. .
Is it possible to buy a Breton shirt with a V neck, do you know? I
Hi Mary
I have not seen any Bretons with V necks but I will keep a look out.
Thank you, Josephine
