I can’t believe that it is sale time again. Is it my perception of time or do sales seem to come round earlier and earlier each year. Summer in London has arrived very late this year and I have only just started to wear my lighter summer clothes.
Early sales are good news if you have not already finished planning your summer wardrobe or are still in the market for adding to your holiday capsule. I find summer sales useful for enhancing my wardrobe with a few fun pieces that will zizz up my basics. If you are contemplating investing in classic accessories such as handbags, scarves etc; you can find good bargains in the accessories departments.
I will be keeping you up to date on the sales as they commence by adding a list of current ones at the bottom of my regular posts.
MY PICKS IN THE SALES:
NET-A-PORTER (grab yourself a designer bargain). I have chosen accessories as I consider stylish handbags, jewellery etc are always good season-less investments.
ANN TAYLOR Dresses and separates
J.CREW – Excellent classic linen blazers
BODEN USA – BODEN UK Practical summer dresses and tops including the classic Breton in many colours.
FINERY – If you are looking for something a little more fashion forward.
Jigsaw has also just gone on sale and has some great summer maxi dresses.
Love that so many of your choices are accessories! Easy to house, mix with items we already own and not throw us all into a panic about wardrobe overload. For years Ive personally used the one in one out theory (readers asked us to post about it so we did!) and this system works for me most of the time. After so long of doing this I do admit sometimes my heart pings a bit when I send an old favorite out. Does not last long when the newbies are exciting as well!-Laurel
