An afternoon sitting by the fire with a hot cup of tea, a soft cushion, a warm cashmere sweater, a pair of stylish pyjama bottoms, a cosy pair of slippers and a good book. What could be more enjoyable especially as the skies here in London are currently very grey.
If you love all things Parisian and are a fan of Ines de la Fressange “Letter from Paris” by Thérèse, is a great fun read. Thérèse’s book is a brilliant examination of how a mature woman can learn to follow her heart and create the life of her dreams. Set in Paris, London and New York and with frequent references to fashion and the fashion world. It is both entertaining and at the same time invites us to explore how we could also have the courage to change our lives and maybe even put pen to paper and write a novel of our own. Follow the main character India’s roller coaster ride as she follows her instincts and engages in the adventure of her life.
It reminds me of what my old teacher used to say “If you have the courage to live the life you are meant to be living doors will open for you that would not open for anybody else.”
I’m loving this post! It makes me want to cozy up, grab a book and tea and sit in front of my fireplace all day and read!! Thanks for that!
I love this! I am a huge tea drinker; this entire scenario looks like heaven to me… Its gray and drizzly here too but unfortunately I have meetings to attend and then a two hour eye doctor appointment!
LOVE YOUR POST. I SURE DO WISH THAT IT WAS THAT TYPE OF WEATHER HERE ! SUNNY AND 72 IN JANUARY , NOT, NOT HAPPY AT ALL . LOVE THE WINTERS JUST FOR THAT REASON
We are just recovering from a major snowstorm in New York – your post sounds like heaven to me!
I totally identify with this post. One of my favourite things to do when I arrive home from anywhere late in the afternoon is to hop into my very comfy but stylish pj’s, have a cuppa and relax.
I can’t wait to get my hand on the book that you recommended. And read it while drinking tea and in my warm winter robe. Thank you!
