When I go to France I always stock up on the latest fashion magazines, especially at this time of year. I came back from my latest trip loaded with a stack of the September issues. They give me a flavour of what is popular with french women this season.
Well the message was very clear. Animal prints especially leopard and snake were featured in most of them. Personally I like a little touch of the “wild” in my accessories. I prefer the leopard to the snake, this is probably as I have a phobia of snakes and do not fancy wearing them.
I have selected a few practical options for you to consider. These are my favourites.
Boden flats // Boden drawstring bag // Nordstrom pointy toe pump // Nordstrom mini saddle bag // Nordstrom bootie // MarksandSpencer leather body bag // Boden strappy shoe
I have ordered the boden flats. However they will not be in stock for another eight weeks so I can’t show you how I will style them just yet.

Always interested to have fashion news from you, from France. I also love a little touch of animal print and it doesn't have to to be much does it, to be on trend. I have a lovely little pair of black suede ankle boots with an animal print cuff, which I'm pleased to see, are still fashionable this year. Shop the wardrobe !
Hi Viv
I agree a little goes a long way with animal print
I love animal prints! I found a really cute snake print top at White House Black Market. I think it will look great with neutral pants and cardigan.
Hi Sue
Sounds like a great top. I wish you well wearing it.
Hi, I, too, love a bite of animal print. Just not a fan of the snake!! It took me a long time to figure out that snake phobia, translated to reptile skin acccessory avoidance. Ha, say that fast three times. Love your choices, so rich and seasonal.
Hi Marguerite
Glad I am not the only one with a snake phobia.
Hi must agree about the dislike of snakeskin. I agree that a little animal print does wonders for any outfit, these prints seem to lighten up outfits I.e. an animal print scarf tied well with black trousers and top. Thankyou for all the examples shown really looking forward to shopping this winter.
Love them all - great picks!
A friend just got rid of all her leopard print - shoes, bags, the works. I was in a little bit of shock and started to wonder if I should get rid of mine but so glad I saw your post before I did.
