The joys of summer kaftans

The joys of summer kaftans. In my opinion a kaftan is one of the most useful garments you can have in your summer wardrobe. They can be worn on the beach over a swimsuit or dressed up for the evening with some jewellery. They are normally lightweight and can be added to a suitcase without taking up much space or popped into a carry-on. Personally I prefer natural fibres such as cotton, linen or perhaps good quality viscose.

The photo above was taken outside Club55 a few years ago on the occasion of my 70th birthday. This is definitely my favourite kaftan, I bought it in St.Tropez market some years ago.

You can see how I wore my short kaftan in France last year here

Announcement

I just wanted to let you know that I will be going to South Africa for three weeks. I will not be taking my computer with me so will not be writing a blog during this time.

I will be posting photographs on Instagram so do please follow me there by clicking here. You never know I might manage to get a photo of a lion!

I love kaftans in the summer. I usually wear them at home when I want to be super comfortable, but I’ve worn them out, too, often with a belt.

I also like Kaftans but have to search for my size as they are often too large and too long. Have a lovely time in South Africa. “See” you on your return.
