What I wore in France – holiday styles

Cotton summer maxi dress

What I wore in France – holiday styles. These are some of the styles I wore whilst I was in France in June. The weather was not as good as it usually is at that time of year. We had quite a few days of rain and high winds. I did venture into the sea for a swim on a couple of occasions but the water was quite cold.

Above I am wearing a dress that my friend kindly gave me. She had bought it in the St.Tropez market but it was a bit big for her. It is a lovely light cotton.

Below are a few similar from MarksandSpencer:

Cotton maxi dress and cotton print scarf

Photographed on our friends patio overlooking the village and the hills beyond. You can just see the chimney of our flat in the distance.

My dress is by Me&Em a few years ago. I have worn it so much over the last few years. You can slip it on over a swimsuit or dress it up for the evening.

MeandEm currently have an excellent sale. Click here to see the styles still available. Similar style with sleeves and a really pretty version here.

Linen maxi dress

This is what I wore when we went to Port Grimaud where met friends for lunch at Lily’s.

Print silk top and white linen trousers

My ever favourite silk print top originally from the NRBY range at JohnLewis& partners. Similar here in turquoise (only size small left). It does come up quite big.

What I wore for an evening out with friends at our favourite restaurant in the village. Jeff&Ju. They serve delicious tapas with plenty of vegetarian options.

Kaftans are one of my favourite styles to wear on holiday. You can see me wearing my favourite one here when I went to lunch at Club55.

Do share in the comments box what you like to wear when you go on holiday.

Grimaldine band playing at the start of the summer season

In the Summer months the village offers many exciting musical soirees. If you are going to be in the vicinity this summer here is programme for Le festival des Grimaldines. For the concert above we were seated in the open air on the steps leading up to the Château de Grimaud.

Love a cotton dress in summer. I have several which are designed to be schrunched up and not ironed. Perfect for when we go away in our caravan in Australia. Also loved your choice of shoes.

Lovely dress. The princess seaming, the colors, the contrasting under layer – all dreamy.

We stayed in Port Grimaud in June and visited Grimaud. How lovely it is! I thought of you and wondered where your home is. It’s been beautifully renovated since we last visited probably in 2008.
    Love your style!
